FAQ
Our expert answers your questions
What is triple distillation?
Triple distillation is a process in which the vodka is distilled three times in succession. Each distillation gradually removes impurities and concentrates the purity of the finished product. This technique, more demanding and time-consuming than single or double distillation, is one of the signatures of premium vodkas. The result: a particularly pure, round and neutral vodka.
Why Siberian spring water?
Water is one of the main components of vodka (around 60% of the finished product). Its quality has a direct influence on the final profile. The Beluga house uses Siberian spring water, particularly pure and mineral-balanced. This quality of water, combined with triple distillation, contributes to the roundness and neutrality characteristic of Beluga vodka.
Why serve vodka iced?
Vodka is ideally served between 0 and -5°C. The intense cold tempers the most volatile aromas, gives the vodka its characteristic silky texture, and prepares the palate for the next tasting (caviar, smoked salmon). It is the codified Russian tradition: iced vodka extends the pairings without dominating, and cleanses the palate between mouthfuls.
How much per guest?
Allow 2 to 3 cl per measure served in a shot glass. For a Russian-style caviar evening, plan for 3 to 4 measures per guest across the whole meal. For smaller occasions or short aperitifs, 1 to 2 measures per person are enough. A 70 cl bottle therefore serves 6 to 10 guests, depending on the pace of service.
Beluga Classic Vodka
Beluga Classic Vodka is one of the great signatures of contemporary Russian vodka. Crafted through triple distillation from Siberian spring water, it reflects the Beluga house's commitment to a pure, round and structured vodka. Triple distillation removes impurities and concentrates the purity of the finished product.
The pairing of caviar and iced vodka dates back to the Russian tsarist courts of the 19th century. The vodka, neutral in taste and served very cold, extends the briny intensity of the caviar without masking it, while cleansing the palate between tastings. It is the historic pairing par excellence, codified in the protocols of Russian fine dining and carried on at the great tables of the world.
Ideal for aperitifs with caviar, Russian-style evenings, or simply as a gift for lovers of tradition. Serve iced (0 to -5°C), in small shot glasses.
